GSC PAP is free.
It costs $0. There is no paid plan, no credit card, no trial clock and no feature held back for an upgrade. Every account gets all 36 MCP tools, every property your Google account can see, and Search Console history that reaches past Google's 16-month limit.
Updated October 19, 2026
- All 36 MCP tools. Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and PageSpeed Insights in one server. Nothing is held back for a paid tier.
- Every property your Google account can see. No per-site charge and no site limit. Connect one domain or forty.
- Search Console history past 16 months. The Personal Archive copies the 16 months Google still has on the day you connect, then keeps every new day after that.
- Every MCP client. Claude.ai connectors, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Cline, opencode, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Zed, JetBrains, Continue, Warp, Goose, LM Studio, or plain HTTP. ChatGPT custom MCP connectors need a Business or Enterprise plan, which is OpenAI's rule rather than ours.
- No Google Cloud project. We registered the OAuth client once, for everyone. You sign in with Google and you are done.
- No credit card. There is no billing form on the site, because there is nothing to bill.
The only limits
Nothing here is a billing gate. They are the rate limits that keep one account from starving the others.
60 tool calls per minute, per user
A typical question costs 5 to 20 calls, so this is roughly three to twelve questions a minute.
1,000 tool calls per hour, per user
Hundreds of questions an hour. Reached in practice only by scripted loops.
Google's own Search Console API quota
1,200 search analytics queries per minute per site. We cache and deduplicate so you stay under it, and if Google does refuse a call we return its error instead of hiding it.
Why it is free
It is a public preview. We would rather have people running it on real properties and telling us what breaks than have revenue from fewer of them.
Free does not mean your data is the product. Nothing in your Search Console or Analytics is sold, shared or used to train anything, and that is in the Privacy Policy, not only on this page.
What happens when we start charging
Paid plans arrive with v1.0, on three principles: pay as you go, a per-call price you can read on one line, and a free tier that still covers light personal use. Preview accounts get at least 60 days notice and free-tier credits before any change takes effect, so nobody wakes up to a locked account.
Until then the answer to "what does it cost" stays the same. See the pricing and limits FAQ for the long version.
Compared with the alternatives
Self-hosting an MCP server for Search Console has no licence cost, but it does need a Google Cloud project, an OAuth web client, a Python environment, Postgres, Redis and a tunnel: about 45 minutes before the first query, then upkeep. Hosted alternatives usually run a free tier with a daily cap on how much data you can pull, then a monthly subscription above it.
GSC PAP has neither the setup nor the cap. If you want the setup-time comparison in detail, it is on the home page, and the Cloud-project question has its own answer.
Pricing questions
- Is GSC PAP free?
- Yes. GSC PAP costs $0. There is no paid plan, no credit card, no trial that expires and no feature kept behind an upgrade prompt. Every account gets all 36 tools, every property your Google account can see, and the Search Console archive that reaches past Google's 16-month limit.
- Is there a free tier with a daily cap?
- No. The service is not split into a free tier and a paid tier. The only ceilings are rate limits that protect the server: 60 tool calls per minute and 1,000 per hour, per user. They are not daily pull quotas and they do not reset into a paywall.
- Will GSC PAP stay free?
- It is free for the whole v0.x public preview. When the service reaches v1.0 we will introduce paid plans, on three principles: pay as you go, a transparent per-call price, and a free tier that still covers light personal use. Preview users get at least 60 days notice and free-tier credits before anything changes.
- What does it cost to self-host instead?
- Nothing in licence fees, since the server is ours to run, but you pay in setup and upkeep: a Google Cloud project, an OAuth web client, a Python environment, Postgres and Redis, and a tunnel to reach it. That is about 45 minutes before the first query and an ongoing maintenance job. The hosted service removes that step and still costs $0.
